We don't ask you to take our word for it. Every batch is analysed by an independent laboratory before it is ever offered for sale, and the certificate is published for anyone to read. Each vial goes through the same five-test panel — Identity, Purity, Net Content, Endotoxins, and Heavy Metals — and below is exactly what each test does and what it proves.

Identity (ID)

Mass spectrometry (LC-MS)

Before anything else, we confirm the vial holds the exact compound on the label — not a substitute standing in for it. Mass spectrometry ionises the sample and measures the molecular mass of what is actually present, then compares that measured mass against the known theoretical mass of the target peptide. A match is proof of identity: it rules out a mislabeled, substituted, or entirely different molecule. This is the test that answers the first question any researcher should ask — is this really what it says it is?

Purity

Reversed-phase HPLC

Purity is the headline number on every certificate, and the one most easily disguised with a vague claim. We measure it by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), which drives the dissolved sample through a column that separates the target peptide from its related impurities — truncated sequences, deletion products, and process residues. Each component resolves into a distinct peak, and the area under the target peak, as a percentage of all peaks, is the purity figure. A 99.2% result means 99.2% of the detected material is the compound you ordered. We publish the actual chromatogram so you can see the peak, not just take the number on faith.

Net Content

Quantitative HPLC against a reference standard

A high purity percentage means little if the vial is under-filled. Net content verifies the amount of active compound actually present — the milligrams you paid for. Measured against a calibrated reference standard, the lab quantifies how much target peptide the vial contains and checks it against the labeled claim. This closes a gap most suppliers ignore entirely: a vial can be 99% pure and still hold far less material than stated. Confirming net content means the quantity in your research matches the quantity on the label.

Endotoxins

LAL (Limulus Amebocyte Lysate)

Endotoxins are heat-stable fragments shed by bacteria. They survive ordinary sterilisation and can skew sensitive biological assays even when no living bacteria remain. The LAL test is the pharmaceutical-industry standard for detecting them: a reagent reacts in the presence of endotoxin, and that reaction is measured to quantify the level in endotoxin units. A result within limits tells you the material will not introduce a pyrogenic contaminant that could quietly confound your results — a premium check most research-chemical suppliers skip.

Heavy Metals

ICP-MS

Heavy-metal contamination — lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury and others — can enter a compound from raw materials, reagents, or manufacturing equipment, and it is completely invisible to a purity or identity test. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) screens the sample down to parts-per-billion, quantifying each element against established safety limits. A result within limits confirms the material is clean of elemental contaminants that no chromatogram would ever reveal.

How to read your certificate

Every certificate of analysis is tied to a single lot, so the result applies to the exact material you received — not a representative average. Read it in four steps: match the lot number on the certificate to the one printed on your vial; check the test date and the issuing laboratory; confirm each of the five tests reads within limits or conforms; and finally look at the purity figure and its chromatogram together. If any of those don't line up, the material shouldn't be trusted — that is the entire point of publishing them.

Our lab partner

Testing is performed by Freedom Diagnostics Testing, an independent third-party analytical laboratory. We run the panel through an outside lab on purpose: independent results carry a weight that an in-house number never can, because the lab has no stake in the outcome. The certificate you read is theirs, issued against your specific lot — we simply publish it unaltered.
